Sundays
Traditional Services are at 8:45 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary.
The Side Door Service, a contemporary service, is at 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Nursery is available at 8:45 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.
Do you have a contemporary service?
Yes we do. The Side Door Service is a contemporary service at 11:00 a.m. on Sundays. Come in through the side door. This service is held in the Fellowship Hall.
How long are your services?
Approximately one hour
What should I wear?
Come as you are!
Do you celebrate communion?
Yes. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month and on special Sundays.
History of the Church
How old is TUMC?
We've been around since 1817. That makes us 194 years old.
What is the history of Tabernacle United Methodist Church?
Tabernacle United Methodist Church was formally established in 1817. It was called the Methodist Episcopal Church, and changed to Tabernacle Methodist Episcopal a few years later. Tabernacle became a station church in 1950 with its own full-time pastor. For more information click here.

No. All are welcome to participate in church events.

No, you do not have to walk up front to join Tabernacle United Methodist Church.

What musical activities are offered at Tabernacle?
TUMC offers a variety of musical activities: Chancel Choir, Youth Choir, Handbell Choir, Women's Chorus, Men's Chorus, Joy Choir, Children's Choir, and "Unshackled". Click here for details.

My children need to be baptized. How do I go about that?

Is childcare available during worship services and other events?
It certainly is.
Children’s Church meets during the later portion of both 11:00 services. It is a special worship time for children ages 3 years to 5th grade and meets every Sunday except for Communion Sundays. The children begin worship with their families in both the 11:00 Traditional and 11:00 Side Door Services. After a segment of the main worships designed just for children, they are then led from the main services to Children’s Church in room 16. Parents and guardians are asked to pick up their children from room 16 after services end.
